Bristlecone has successfully completed strategically significant projects for some of the largest companies in the Oil & Gas industry. As a result, we understand the service supply chain and customer supply chain issues in the oil and gas industry extremely well.

Some recent engagements include:
  • Plant Maintenance solution at Equilon: Bristlecone implemented a plant maintenance and MRO procurement solution for their four refineries, including business process design and system configuration.
  • Global ATP Capability at Baker Hughes: We designed and implemented a supply chain solution to address their Global Available to Promise (ATP) as well as Detail scheduling requirements. The engagement included the deployment of SAP SCM system.
  • Strategic Data Sourcing and Database Development for Oil and Gas Major in Erha, Nigeria: We enabled a major Oil and Gas company with deep-sea operations in Nigeria to fully realize the benefits of their preventive management system by deploying capabilities to ensure the quality of data related to their exploration operations. Using the high-integrity data, the client could ensure longevity and optimal utilization of assets.
  • Supply Network Rationalization at Shell: During the M&A process for the merger between Shell and Pennzoil, Bristlecone was asked to validate the proposed synergies from the acquisition. We evaluated and validated proposed synergy estimates and made recommendations. We developed optimized supply network considering both Shell and Pennzoil capabilities. We also benchmarked Pennzoil/Shell supply chain KPIs against the best in the process industry and identified areas of opportunities.
  • Supply Chain Process Design at Shell/Pennzoil: We helped design new supply chain processes for the combined (Shell-Pennzoil) company. The design included demand planning, supply planning and detailed scheduling processes. We then implemented these processes by deploying SAP APO Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling solutions.
  • Full-cycle SAP Implementation at Qatar Petroleum: We enabled Qatar Petroleum, the national Oil and Gas producer of Qatar to implement SAP as an enterprise-wide strategic business system. Using our deep domain expertise and SAP knowledge, we were able to bring a high-impact, stable solution to a user-base of over 2500 users. Qatar Petroleum is well on its way to realizing significant operational efficiencies using this integrated business system.
