Mahindra
gets SAP ACE 2007 Award for Customer Excellence

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is the proud
recipient of the prestigious SAP ACE 2007
Award for Customer Excellence in the Best
Automotive Sector Implementation, Large Enterprises
Category at an event organized by SAP India
in New Delhi. These awards are presented to
companies who effectively leverage technology
to help transform their business. The company
won the award in the face of intense competition
from several corporates.
Mahindra and Mahindra received the award for
a well-defined Business Information Warehouse
(BW) implementation across the organization,
one that is empowering users in business decisions.
The award was received by the M&M team
led by Mr. Arvind Tawde – Senior VP
and CIO, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.
Commenting on the above award, an elated Mr.
Tawde said “We are extremely pleased

SAP BW consolidates the external and internal
sources of data and provides Business Analytics,
leading to more effective use of information
within the organization. This award defines
Mahindra and Mahindra’s drive towards

The Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW)
caters to the reporting requirements of Mahindra
and Mahindra through user-friendly analytics.
The reports can be accessed through the SAP
Enterprise Portal. M&M team members and
consultants from Bristlecone and Tech Mahindra
were involved in developing the decision support
system. Reporting requirements were captured
from various business functions.
The SAP ACE awards span three categories,
which include overall category, midsize category
and small enterprises category. The evaluation
process comprised of four stages including
scrutiny of the nomination form, short listing
via interviews, onsite review and final assessment
by the jury after a detailed panel discussion.
The jury comprised of eminent personalities
including Mr. R. Subramanian, Managing Director,
Subhiksha Trading Services, Mr. V. M. Venkatarajan,
former IT Advisor - TVS Group, Mr. T. Ravindran,
General Manager, ONGC, Mr. Amit Mukherjee,
Vice President and Group CIO, RPG Group, Mr.
Krishna Sundar, Chairperson - ERP Center and
CFC, IIM-Bangalore and Mr. Ranjan Das, President
and CEO, SAP Indian Subcontinent. |
